As we continue to navigate the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, LOTSAR President Nick Hinton has some updates on how LOTSAR is helping our members and on other Association matters, including 2025 dues:
Dues updates
– LOTSAR advocated to NC REALTORS® to have 2025 state dues waived for LOTSAR members, which was approved in October.
– The Association has also asked the National Association of REALTORS® to have 2025 national dues waived for members. We expect NAR to decide this week at its annual convention in Boston, and we will provide updates as soon as we know.
How LOTSAR is supporting its members
– The Association has been holding well-attended information sessions on such topics as keeping transactions alive, cleanup and insurance. We are hearing feedback that the sessions have been extremely helpful.
– As the Association’s day-to-day work continues, know that LOTSAR is an informational resource as members navigate the new settlement and forms changes. If we can be of help, please contact us.
– Continuing education and post-licensing courses are starting back up, so watch the calendar on the LOTSAR website for the schedule.
– LOTSAR has helped 315 residents apply for money from the NC REALTORS® Disaster Relief fund. We’ve been focused on getting as many people in our area to apply as possible.
– The supplies we have gathered – from water to diapers to generators – continue to be delivered to people in need.
