NCREALTORS® waives 2025 State dues for LOTSAR members

NCREALTORS® is waiving its 2025 State dues for Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® members, showing its support for Western North Carolina real estate professionals impacted by Hurricane Helene.

LOTSAR recently petitioned NCREALTORS® for State dues relief, and the organization announced its decision this week after its annual meeting. Next, LOTSAR is asking the National Association of REALTORS® to waive 2025 national dues, and a decision on that is expected in the next two or three weeks. If NAR also waives its dues for a year, LOTSAR members will see their overall 2025 dues cut significantly. Once this is finalized, LOTSAR will start sending out information on renewals for the coming year.

“We are very pleased with the NCREALTORS®’ decision, and we are hopeful that NAR will take a similar step,” said Nick Hinton of Hinton Realty Group, LOTSAR’s 2024 President. “We continue to look for ways to help our members in this challenging time, and this is one example of that.”

LOTSAR has been focused on providing helpful information to members on everything from keeping deals alive to how best to advise clients on insurance and reclamation. This has involved hosting panel discussions, writing stories and posting on social media. The organization has also been working with brokers in charge and making direct calls to members, making sure members are accounted for after the storm.

“The needs of our members will continue to evolve as the situation changes from short-term to long-term needs,” said David West, LOTSAR’s CEO. “It’s critical that we keep in close touch with our members so we can make real-time decisions on how we can best be of help.”
