Attendance
All courses will start on time. Participants are expected to arrive on time and attend courses in their entirety.
For NC Real Estate Commission-approved courses, late arrivals will not be admitted. If a participant is denied admission to a course as a result of late arrival, his/her registration fee will be forfeited to ABR in full. No credit will be given for a future class.
For NC Real Estate Commission-approved courses, participants are required to attend a minimum of 90% of a course in order to receive credit. If a participant does not attend a course in full, his/her registration fee will be forfeited to LOTSAR in full. No credit will be given for a future class.
Inclement Weather
For classes scheduled at the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® office, please follow the Asheville City Schools inclement weather schedule. If Asheville City Schools are closed or school hours are delayed due to inclement weather, LOTSAR’s classes will be canceled or delayed accordingly.
For classes scheduled at other facilities, such as AB Tech or Brevard College, please follow that facility’s inclement weather schedule. If the facility is closed or business hours are delayed due to inclement weather, LOTSAR’s classes will be cancelled or delayed accordingly.
Cancellations
Board policy does not allow refunds. However, credit can be given for a future class if cancellation is received, in writing, at least two business days prior to the start of a course. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged.
If cancellation occurs within three days of the start of a course, or in the case of a no-show, no credit will be given. In this case, participant forfeits his/her entire registration fee to LOTSAR.
* If you must cancel, please notify us via the member portal or in writing at least two business days hours prior to the class. Any fees paid are non-refundable thereafter.
** IF YOU ARE A NO SHOW OR DO NOT CANCEL IN ADVANCE, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED A $25 FEE. UNPAID FEES COULD RESULT IN MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION.
FREE to LOTSAR members if you have not already taken your FREE CE class for this year.
Non-member cost: Elective – $35-$50 Update – $75.00

ADDITIONAL POLICIES FOR THE FREE MANDATORY UPDATE AND ELECTIVE COURSES
Eligibility
Every LOTSAR member is entitled to one (1) Mandatory Update course and one (1) Elective Course within each calendar year as a member benefit.
To register for a course, a member must be current with his/her annual Board dues.
Course Registration
On-site registration is NOT permitted. Walk-ins will NOT be allowed.
One four (4) hour CE Mandatory class PLUS one four (4) hour CE Elective Class provided by the Board on designated days throughout the year.
