
Jim started his real estate career in 1979 with Don Hancock Realty, where he sold 19 properties in his first year in this business. He then joined Charles Harrel Associates from 1981 through 1987. In June 1987, he moved to ReMax Advantage Realty, where he remained until April 1999, when he and his partners opened Keller Williams Professionals, where he is still Co-Owner and Broker today.
An active industry professional, Jim is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the North Carolina Association of Realtors. He has been a member of the Asheville Board / LOTSAR since 1981, previously serving on both the Board of Directors and the Grievance Committee.
With over four decades of experience in Western North Carolina real estate, Jim has helped thousands of buyers and sellers achieve their goals, closing nearly half a billion dollars in career sales. He combines extensive market knowledge and decades of experience to provide trusted guidance for buyers, sellers, and investors alike.
Outside of real estate, Jim and his wife, Betty, have called Fairview home for many years. They have been married for 45 years and have two adult children, Jeremy and Kimberly. In his spare time, Jim enjoys traveling with his wife, attending Atlanta Braves games, and cheering on the UNC TarHeels and the Buffalo Bills.
