On Tuesday, September 23, more than 500 entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders will gather at the Diana Wortham Theatre (18 Biltmore Ave., Asheville) for the Asheville Business Summit. Now in its third year, the summit has quickly become a catalyst for fresh ideas and stronger connections in Western North Carolina’s business community.
Organized by Action Coach Asheville and founder Bill Gilliland, the all-day event features high-impact keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities focused on growth, leadership, and innovation. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies they can immediately put to work—whether that means strengthening operations, adapting to change, or positioning their businesses for long-term success.
The Grace in Action Fund is proud to be the event’s Community Partner. Launched by Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® in July, the fund provides direct rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to families across Western North Carolina. In less than three months, it has raised more than $120,000, and proceeds from the summit will help expand that impact even further.
Representatives from Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and LOTSAR will be on-site at the Summit, telling attendees about the Grace in Action Fund and accepting donations.
According to Rachel Brown, president of LOTSAR, this partnership underscores a shared mission: building resilience in the face of crisis. Just as local businesses need strategies to adapt and thrive in a changing economy, families need stability in their most basic foundation—housing.
“Business recovery and housing stability are deeply connected,” Brown said. “When families have a safe and secure place to call home, they are better positioned to support local businesses, contribute to the workforce, and strengthen the regional economy. The Grace in Action Fund is proud to stand alongside the Asheville Business Summit in building a stronger, more resilient Western North Carolina.”
