The North Carolina Real Estate Commission has commenced a rulemaking process on many issues of importance to NC REALTORS®. These rule changes include updates to the advertising rules, broker-in-charge rules, the residential property and owner’s association disclosure statement, and many others.
If approved by the Commission, these rules would become effective on July 1, 2018.
You will have two opportunities to provide comments on these rules. First, the Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 14 at 9:00 AM at the Commission’s offices (1313 Navaho Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609). You can also submit written comments via email or via mail (P.O. Box 17100, Raleigh, NC 27619 ATTN: Melissa Vuotto). Written comments must be received by 5 PM on Monday, March 19.
NC REALTORS® will be offering comments to the Commission during the February 14 public hearing, as directed by the NC REALTORS® Legislative Committee.
