For our Lunch and Learn, I’d like to touch on points that will help realtors to better understand the criteria appraisers are required to adhere to, including the ANSI standard for measurement, FHA and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac minimum property requirements, and requirements for comparable sales in appraisals, as well as ways that realtors can help appraisers best throughout the appraisal process. We’ll touch on Accessory Dwelling Units and how those are addressed by appraisers, as well as appraiser confidentiality requirements and how those apply to your buyers and sellers. We’ll have time to address any questions and touch on any other topics our realtors have, so come prepared with anything you’d like to talk about. Looking forward to speaking with everyone!
When: August 18, 2022 @ NOON
Where: LOTSAR, 21 Restaurant Ct, Asheville, NC 28805
This is a hybrid event and lunch will be provided (sorry, no virtual lunches available).
My name is Jessica Kleifgen and I am the owner and Chief Appraiser at Asheville Appraisals. I began my appraisal career in 2005 learning under my mentor and was Licensed Residential in 2007 and Certified Residential in 2010 in Texas, at which time I moved to North Carolina and began practicing here. I worked for the first six years in North Carolina under a large, national firm as a staff appraiser learning under some of the most respected and educated appraisers in the field. In 2015 I went out on my own and started Asheville Appraisals. The business has grown and we now employ a second appraiser and two support staff and look forward to growing and developing new relationships with colleagues in the region.
