Views are important components of value in the LOTSAR market. But what are your clients paying for, or what are you marketing? Certainly views change over time, and views are poorly described by MLS. This [workshop/presentation] will report an estimate for the value of views for homes within 10 miles of Asheville. We will also discuss how views can be mapped and described. Dr. Bruggeman has also regrettably been on the tip of the spear fighting the proposed asphalt plant in Marshall and will provide a brief update.
Dr. Bruggeman received his Ph.D. at Michigan State University specializing in Ecological Economics. He founded Ecological Services and Markets, an Asheville-based consulting firm, in 2009 to better value natural assets to support sustainable economies. This involves building both simple and complex models and using advanced computational tools such as Machine Learning. Dr. Bruggeman’s work has centered on developing market-based strategies for mitigating the effects of habitat loss and adapting to climate change. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Environmental Banking Association. Prior to completing his PhD, he worked as an Ecotoxicologist supporting Superfund and Brownfield re-development. Dr. Bruggeman is also a licensed Realtor with National Land Realty.
